Next Door / Portraits

A portrait series commissioned by Rataplan Cultural Center from Borgerhout, Antwerp. The photos are taken in the mobile photo studio on different squares in the city. Through this participatory project, Rataplan means to discover and connect with people living “next door” in our neighbourhood or elsewhere in the city. After being photographed, each person leaves with a print. On long term, this project hopes to build a map of stories & faces from different parts of the city, and make the gaps smaller.
